Washington: Prior to Friday’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, US President Donald Trump has made a big statement. Trump expressed the possibility of general trade between the two countries and said that they would know within the first two minutes of the meeting whether there could be an agreement. Trump said this while addressing a briefing at the White House on Monday.

When Trump was asked if he sees a time when there could be a normal trade between the US and Russia, Trump said, “Yes, I think Russia has a very precious piece of land. If Vladimir Putin moves to business instead of war. A friend of mine said that Russia is harsh because he just fights.”
‘I want to see a ceasefire’
The US President said, “We are going to have a meeting with Vladimir Putin and at the end of that meeting, perhaps in the first two minutes, I will know exactly whether there may be a compromise or not.” In addition, Trump expressed hope before the meeting between Russia and Ukraine, saying, “I want to see a ceasefire. I want to see the best possible agreement for both sides.”
‘Moscow’s economy shocks’
Trump said that the already running Moscow economy has suffered a major setback due to the US fee levied on India to buy Russian oil. Trump described India as Russia’s “largest or second largest oil buyer”. Addressing a press conference at the White House, Trump claimed that Russia’s economy has been severely affected by the global pressures on several countries. He said, “I think Russia should re -build its country.” It is a huge country. Russia has immense ability to perform well. They are not doing well. Their economy is not doing well at this time because it has been badly affected by it. ”
Trump told further plan
Trump said, “I think our conversation will be useful. He said that he would talk to European leaders after the meeting. Trump also mentioned his plan to negotiate with Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky. He said, “The next meeting will be between Jailonsky and Putin, or Jailonsky and Putin and me. If they need, I will be present there, but I want to decide a meeting between the two leaders.
