A character that will be included in the mysterious world that was introduced by filmmaker Rishabh Shetty for the first time in 2022 with ‘Kantara’. Now on Tuesday, the makers have been confirmed by posting that this Pan India film will be released in theaters on the day of Gandhi Jayanti in the year 2025.

The story is about 300 BC, during the time of Kadamb dynasty and the film reflects traditions rich in folklore of coastal Karnataka. Rishabh Shetty has also taught horse riding, kalapayattu and fencing for this role. The film will feature Jairam, Rakesh Pujari and Rukmini Vasant. The film is scheduled to release worldwide on October 2, 2025. ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ will be available in many languages including Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali and English.
