This Australian star spinner had to disabishing heavily, ICC grabbed red -handed decision
ICC Punished Adam Zampa: ICC has taken major action on Australia’s star leg spinner Adam Zampa. Zampa was found guilty of ICC Code of Conduct for abusing South Africa on the field in the first ODI. He received a demerit point and an official warning was issued.
Australian leg -spinner Adam Zampa is once again in the headlines, but this time, not his bowling but a misconduct behavior on the field became the reason. On Tuesday (August 19), in the first ODI played between South Africa and Australia, Zampa abused Zampa, which was caught by Stump Mike and was clearly heard on live telecast.
The ICC took the matter seriously and found Zampa guilty of Level-1 violation. He was acted with action under ICC Article 2.3, which is associated with “the use of indecent language” during the international match. Zampa obeyed his mistake and accepted the proposed punishment by the match referee Andy Picroft.
He has been given a demerit point. Although this is his first crime in the last 24 months, he was just given official warnings. Explain that if a player gets four or more demerit points over a period of 24 months, then they turn directly into suspension points, which means match ban.
Talking about the match, South Africa scored 298 runs while batting first. Aiden Markram scored a brilliant 82 runs. Zampa took just one wicket for 58 runs in 10 overs. In response, Australian batsmen collapsed in front of South Africa’s spin attack. Keshav Maharaj took five wickets and Australia was all out for 198 runs. Captain Mitchell Marsh scored the highest 88 runs, but failed to win the team.
South Africa won the match by 98 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Keshav Maharaj, who became the hero of this victory, was adjudged the Player of the Match.
