School left in poverty
Jackie left school due to excessive poverty in his family. After completing the 11th grade, the veteran actor started doing strange work from selling peanuts outside the theater hall to becoming a flight attendant. Jackie also worked as a travel agent. According to the report of the motherland, the veteran actor once remembered his days spent in Chawl. Jackie told how he used to stand in long queues outside the toilet. Recalling this, Jackie had said, ‘We had public toilets, only three for all families in our building. Every morning I had to stand in a long queue with a mug in my hand and while waiting for my turn. If I had to arrive early at school or work, I had to get up early to secure my place in the queue. The journey to become ‘Jaggu Dada’ from Jackie Shroff of Bollywood was quite emotional. Jackie’s elder brother Hemant was known as Dada in Chawl for his noble works. One such incident killed Hemant when Jackie was just 10 years old. Hemant was trying to save a boy from drowning, when this tragic incident happened. In order to honor this brave work of his elder brother, his friends started calling him ‘Jaggu Dada’. 100 families keep attention
Jackie is taking care of about 100 underprivileged families from three lights area of Mumbai to Pali Hill in Mumbai. Actor opens an account in Nanavati Hospital for poor people. Whenever children living in slums need them, Jackie is just on a call. The children told that Jackie has told them that if they feel hungry at night, they should call them and they will arrange food for them. According to the report, veteran actors spend half of their savings on the welfare of these disadvantaged families. Jackie first worked in the film Swami Dada and then made her debut as the lead actor in the film Hero. According to GQ India report, now the total assets of Bollywood superstar are around Rs 212 crore. He has an 8 BHK bungalow priced at Rs 31.5 crore. Being an enthusiastic car lover, the actor has four -wheelers like Bentley Continental GT, BMW M5 and Jaguar SS 100.
