Panaji: Police have arrested the owner and manager of the guest house in connection with the rape of three minor girls at a guest house in North Goa district. A total of four people have been detained in this case so far. According to officials, these girls, aged 11, 13 and 15, living in the same building were raped by two people in the guest house located in Kalangut area on June 7 and 8. According to officials, the five reached the guest house together to stay. There are two big girls sisters among them.
Police evacuated girls from guest house
On June 8, the families of the victim girls lodged a complaint that the girls were missing a day in advance. The police formed several teams and on the same day, taking out the girls from the guest house, two youths were arrested 19 -year -old Altaf Muhawar and 21 -year -old Om Naik. Police have gathered the record of entry in the hotel, CCTV footage and statements of eyewitnesses as evidence.
Why did the guest house owner and manager arrest?
Superintendent of Police Rahul Gupta said that guest house owner Rajat Chauhan (31) and manager Mansoor Pir (35) were arrested on Wednesday night. He said that he has been arrested for living in the guest house without the consent and verification of the minor girls for violating the law and promoting the crime.

Goa police said that the accused and the victim are all friends. Rooms were booked in a hotel to have Eid and Birthday party. All of them came to celebrate birthdays. Then, taking advantage of the opportunity, friends made their own friends a victim of lust and the girls were forcibly raped.
Guest house sealed, license will be canceled
Police said that the four accused have been booked under the Code of Justice of India, Protection of Children (POCSO) Act and related sections of Goa Children Act. The SP said, “We are sealing the guest house and action is being taken to cancel the license. If the guest house manager and the owner give a child room in the absence of his family or family, they will not be spared.” (With language inputs)
