The coaches of Hisar Express and Rayalaseema Express caught fire on Monday at Tirupati railway station in Telangana. The fire spread to two coaches of both trains. However, no casualties were reported in this incident. When the train caught fire, both trains were standing in the yard of Tirupati railway station. After the fire, the railway employees successfully separated the remaining coaches, causing no further damage.

Railway Public Relations Officer said that no casualties were reported in this incident. Further information is awaited. It is being told that due to the fire, the train could not operate from the station for a long time. Many trains were also delayed by this.

Big accident averted

Hisar Express and Rayalaseema Express trains were standing parallel to each other. In such a situation, when the fire broke out, the coaches of both trains were jealous. The Vande Bharat train was coming on the adjacent track, but it was stopped in time. The big accident was averted. Hisar and Rayalaseema Express were vacant at the time of the accident. There was no harm due to this. However, Vande India could have a big accident when the train was hit by the fire.

Fire extinguished in one hour

On receiving information about the fire, the fire party and relief rescuers reached the spot. However, the fire had spread so much that it took an hour to extinguish it. After extinguishing the fire, the work is being done to remove the burnt rail compartments standing on the railway track. The cause of the fire has not been revealed yet. Officers are investigating the entire incident.

Diesel engine increased challenge

Railway officials said the train that was victim of the accident was running on diesel engine. Because of this, the challenge for the fire party was big. However, the fire was controlled in time and railway employees had already separated the burning coaches from the rest of the train. Due to the fire, people were evacuated from nearby areas as a precaution. Meanwhile, railway traffic between Chennai and other areas has been affected due to the fire. Southern Railway has announced to cancel eight trains from Chennai and change the route of five others.
