What is the history of this temple?
The temple of Chauth Mata was built by Raja Bhim Singh. It is said that Charu Mata had appeared to King Bhim Singh Chauhan in his dream and ordered him to build the temple.
When the king went out hunting, he found the statue of Chauth Mata. With which he returned to Barwada and with the advice of the priests, the statue was installed on Magh Krishna Chaturthi on the mountain top of Barwada. Every year on this day Chauth Mata fair is organized in this temple.
