The bomb threat warned of a blast after the train passed Nashik station in Maharashtra. As a precaution, the train was stopped in Jalna at 4.15am for a search that continued until 6.30am. It was then classified as a false alarm.

New Delhi: A bomb threat was received for the Mumbai-Howrah Mail train, issued from a Twitter account named Fazluddin.

The threat warned of a blast after the train passed Nashik station in Maharashtra. The threat read: “Hey Indian Railways, today you will weep blood. A bomb has also been planted on the flight and in train number 12809; there will be a big explosion before reaching Nashik.”

As a precaution, the train was stopped in Jalna at 4.15am for a search that continued until 6.30am. It was then classified as a false alarm.
