Trade between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals regarding Sanju Samson will not be possible

However, despite all these reports, no concrete steps have been taken on this deal so far. It is being told that CSK Management had made a proposal, which Rajasthan Royals refused to accept. This is the reason why this deal is hanging in the balance.

Chennai’s interest in Sanju Samson is not new. In the last season, there were reports of Samson’s displeasure with some decisions of Rajasthan Royals, and since then there is a discussion that they can think of going to another franchise. But the biggest hurdle that is coming out about this deal is the trade policy of Chennai. CSK’s management has always been very loyal about its core team. The reports claimed that Chennai had offered names like Shivam Dubey or Ravichandran Ashwin instead of Sanju. But now it seems that CSK is not in favor of leaving any of its important players.

If this trade deal does not move forward, CSK will have the only way to bring Sanju into the team. But there will not be easy there too, because the price of Sanju Samson can cross ₹ 20 crore. In 2025, he was retained by Rajasthan for ₹ 18 crore, and in view of his performance, many teams may run behind him in the next auction.
