TRAI released the data of telecom users of January two days ago on 22 April. Now the regulator has released the telecom data of February. Like January, in February, Airtel and Jio have added millions of mobile users to their network. At the same time, thousands of users of Vodafone-Idea and BSNL have decreased. According to TRAI’s latest data, by 28 February 2025, the number of mobile users in India has increased from 115.1 crore to 115.4 crore. The number of wireless (mobile) users has been recorded up to 0.24%.

According to the new report, the total wireless (mobile + FWA) number of users in India has increased from 115.7 crores to 116.03 crore. The total wireless users have recorded a growth of 0.27%. In the case of 5G FWA users, Reliance Jio has left Airtel far behind. In February, Jio’s 5G FWA usbase has crossed 62.71 lakhs. At the same time, Airtel’s 5G FWA usbase has increased to 10.34 lakhs.
Airtel and Jio add millions of users
Airtel and Jio have once again surpassed other telecom companies in adding users. Jio added 6.8 lakh new users in January. At the same time, the company has added 17.6 lakh new users in February. Talking about Airtel, the company added 16.5 lakh new users in January. In February, the company added 15.9 lakh new users to its network. Public sector company BSNL has suffered the most during this period. The company has lost 5.67 lakh users in February. At the same time, more than 20 thousand users of VI have come down in February.
Market share
Jio has once again dominated the wireless market share by adding millions of new users. Jio’s market share has reached 40.52% in February. The company’s usbase has increased to 46.75 crores. Airtel users have also increased to 38.85 crores. At the same time, Bharti Airtel’s market share has also increased to 33.67%. The userbase and market share of Vodafone-Idea have fallen continuously. The company’s usbase has come down to 20.5 million. At the same time, its market share is also 17.84%. Government telecom company BSNL has a market share of just 7.89% and the userbase has come down to 9.1 crore.
