Monthly subscribers data: TRAI has released the data of telecom users of July. In July, there has been an unprecedented increase in the number of users who have done MNP. Jio and Airtel have once again managed to add millions of users. At the same time, Vodafone-Idea has suffered a big shock. Whereas, a lot of users of government telecom company BSNL have also decreased. According to TRAI data, the number of telecom users in India has reached 117 crores.
117 crore mobile users
This data of TRAI is till 31 July 2025. According to this, the number of mobile users in India has reached 116.35 crores. This number was 116.03 crore in June. Mobile users have seen a monthly growth of 0.04%. At the same time, the number of total wireless users (mobile + 5G FWA) has increased from 117.08 crores to 117.19 crores. It has increased a total of 0.09%.
According to the new report, the number of 5G FWA users in India has crossed 8.4 million i.e. 84 lakhs. In June it was 7.8 million i.e. 78 lakhs. The number of 5.02 million and 3.38 million 5G FWA users has increased in urban and rural areas respectively. Jio has the highest 6.4 million users. At the same time, the number of Airtel 5G FWA users is 1.9 million.
Live and Airtel’s boom
Talking about the total wireless subscribers, Jio has the highest number of 4.8 lakh new users in their network. At the same time, Airtel has also created 4.6 lakh new users. Vodafone-Idea has lost the most 3.5 million users. At the same time, users of BSNL have also reduced by 1 lakh. BSNL has also launched its 5G FWA service in some South Indian states. In Hyderabad, the company first launched this service soft last month.
Whose market share?
Reliance Jio remains the country’s number 1 telecom operator with 41.04 percent market share. The company has 47.75 crore mobile users. At the same time, Airtel’s market share is 33.65 percent and its users have 39.1 crore. The market share of Vodafone-Idea is reduced to 17.52 percent. The company has 20.3 crore users. The market share of BSNL has also decreased. The company has 9.3 crore users and the market share is 7.77 percent.
MNP users increased rapidly
The number of telecom users in India has been increasing in slow rate for a long time. Telecom users are shifting rapidly from one operator to another. At the same time, there is not much growth in the number of new users. According to the July report, the number of users doing MNP has increased rapidly. During this time 15.41 million users have shifted from one operator to another.
