TRAI’s new initiative, star rating for digital connectivity, manual ready

TRAI has prepared a star rating draft for digital connectivity. In the coming time, you will also get the option of star ratings for digital connectivity like electrical appliances. The Telecom Regulatory Authority is preparing to give a star rating keeping in mind the availability of mobile networks, Wi-Fi infrastructure, readiness of webtical fibers, etc.
Service providers and users benefit
This initiative of the telecom regulator will be for service performance rating, taking into account several parameters of digital connectivity properties. Users will get the benefit of this in choosing telecom operators, internet service provider etc. Recently, the telecom operators were issued an order to publish their network coverage on the website and app under the Quality of Service Improvements.
TRAI has prepared a draft rating digital infrastructure and service quality etc. This draft has been designed to improve digital connectivity. According to the report, TRAI has said that digital connectivity rating agencies (DCRAs) will have to use manual assessment mathodology for this. Apart from this, property managers will have to give standard references for digital connectivity infrastructure (DCI).
Digital infrastructure will be better
According to TRAI, better rating infrastructure will attract more users, buyers or investors. This will prove to be a value add to service providers. Currently, its draft manual has been prepared. TRAI says that most of the data is consumed inside the building. Especially 4G and 5G network high -frequency bands deliver high speed data, but they are affected by building walls and materials.

In the last decade, technology has brought a new revolution worldwide even if it is an economy, innovation, science and education, health, government, lifestyle, no sector. All the stakeholders of this draft have been given time to send their comments by 2 June next month. At the same time, counter comments will be accepted on this by 9 June.
