Central government Ayushman Bharat Scheme is running the scheme in view of the increasing expenses of health insurance. Under this, free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh is being provided to poor people. Now the government has provided the facility of making Ayushman card to all the elderly aged 70 years or older under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. What is Ayushman Bharat PM-Jay?
The government started the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY on 23 September 2018. This scheme implemented by the National Health Authority (NHA) provides cashless treatment in secondary and educational-public and listed private hospitals across the country. Under this scheme, you can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
How to apply for Ayushman Vy Vandana Card?
To apply for Ayushman Vy Vandana Card, follow these steps using the Ayushman app. First, download the Ayushman app and log in as a beneficiary. Captcha and enter your mobile number, and complete the authentication process. After receiving OTP, enter it with the captcha code to log in. Proceed by entering details of the beneficiary including state and Aadhaar number. If the system does not detect the beneficiary, then continue the EKYC process by giving its consent for OTP verification. Enter the beneficiary’s mobile number and OTP sent on it. Fill additional details such as category and PIN code, and add information about family members. Finally, submit the form. Once the E-KYC process is successfully completed and approved, you will be able to download the Ayushman Vy Vandana card.
Is Aadhaar mandatory?
Yes, Aadhaar-based e-KYC is mandatory for eligible senior citizens to enroll and issue Ayushman card.
