United Nations: The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) ban monitoring team has given a very sensational report on the Pahalgam terror attack. The UN has said that The Resistance Front (TRF) took responsibility for the Pahalgam terror attack twice and also published a picture of the scene. The UN has also said in its report that the attack could not be carried out without the support of Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) in Pakistan.

There were 5 terrorists in the attack

The 36th report of analytical support and ban monitoring party on the Islamic State, Al-Qaeda and their individuals and organizations mentions a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April. In this attack, 26 people were shot dead by terrorists by asking religion. According to the report, five terrorists were involved.

TRF took responsibility for the attack by publishing photos

The UN report said that TRF took responsibility for the attack on April 22 and also published a picture of the scene. The TRF took responsibility for the attack again the next day, but on 26 April it withdrew his claim. The report has been submitted to the United Nations Security Council’s 1267 ISIL (DAIS) and the Al-Qaeda Ban Committee. It says that after this there was no other statement from TRF nor any other group took responsibility.

India was not possible without Lashkar’s support

Providing India’s claim to be correct, the UN has said in its report that the attack was not possible without the support of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Pakistan and there are relations between TRF and Lashkar. It has been quoted by a UN member country. Another member country said that the attack was carried out by TRF which is another name for Lashkar. The report also said that regional relations are still fragile and “It is feared that terrorist organizations may take advantage of these regional tensions.”

America later banned TRF

The US has listed TRF as foreign terrorist organizations and specially designated global terrorists in July only after the Pahalgam terror attack. On April 25, the United Nations Security Council issued a statement saying that it is necessary to bring criminals, conspirators, financers and sponsors of such disgusting terrorist acts to the dock of justice. However, the name of the TRF was not included in that statement under the pressure of Pakistan. External Affairs Minister S. Jayashankar said in Parliament on Monday that during the discussion on the statement in the Security Council, Pakistan had tried to remove any mention of the name of TRF.

India took revenge from Operation Sindoor

In response to the Pahalgam terror attack, India ran the ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting terrorist structures in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK). The United Nations report also states that the Islamic State-Khurasan still remains the biggest threat to Central and South Asia and globally. (AP)
