A podcast clip of Punjab Kings batsman Shashank Singh has gone viral on social media after finishing Punjab’s top-2. This video clip is before the IPL begins when Shashank predicted in that podcast with journalist Shubhankar Mishra that Punjab will remain in the top two in Kings Standing and now the Punjab team has done exactly the same.
A few minutes after Punjab Kings defeated the Mumbai Indians, the clip of Shashank’s adventurous prediction became increasingly viral on social media. Punjab Kings themselves shared this clip. Shashank said when his prediction in podcast is true, “It seems unrealistic. It is not easy to live in the top two in the league like IPL. It is very satisfactory to be honest.”
Punjab Kings, often under -judged, have been in the top two in the league table for the first time since 2014. After years of struggle for continuity, he got his rhythm in IPL 2025 under Shreyas Iyer’s captaincy and coaching staff of Ricky Ponting.
