Washington: US President Donald Trump has once again suffered a major setback from the court. The federal court has given a big order in the ongoing dispute between Harvard University and Trump administration. The Federal Judge has banned foreign students of Trump Administration for the second time on the order to discontinue entry into Harvard University. American District Judge Ellison Bairo in Boston said in his order that foreign students would be maintained to study in Harvard until the case settlement. The decision is another legal victory for Harvard, which has been fighting a legal battle against several policies of the White House in recent months.

Thousands of students were in crisis

The future of about 7,000 foreign students was stuck in the balance due to the decision taken by the Trump administration. In the case, students either had to leave the university or end their legal status in America. Now after the new court order, these foreign students will definitely get relief.

What did Trump do?

Meanwhile, let me tell you here that Donald Trump signed a government order stating that it would be a threat to national security to allow Harvard to admit foreign students in his premises in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Trump wrote in the order, “I have decided that the entry of the class of foreign nationals is harmful to the interests of America because in my view, Harvard’s conduct has made it a unsuitable place for foreign students and researchers.”

Research fund was cut

The Trump administration had also drastically cut the research fund of Harvard University. Government contracts were canceled, threatened to abolish the university’s tax exemption and also sought documents related to foreign students from Harvard. After this, when the Trump government did not get enough information from Harvard, the university’s student and exchange visitor program certification was also canceled.

Trump gave federal law

In this entire case, Trump cited a federal law that gives the President the right to stop foreigners whose entry can be harmful to the interests of America. Trump’s Harvard order also cited several other laws, including a law banning foreigners associated with terrorist organizations.
