TVS will organize India's first electric motorcycle racing championship, know details

auto news desk,TVS, one of the largest two-wheeler companies, has announced that it will organize the country’s first electric motorcycle race. It will be called TVS Racing Electric One Make Championship. It will be launched along with the 4th Indian National Road Motorcycling Championship (INMRC).

For this, TVS has prepared a special Apache RTE motorcycle. Eight riders will participate on TVS Apache RTE bike in the first round of this championship. TVS claims that the Apache RTE will set a benchmark in electric racing motorcycles. The power-to-weight ratio of this motorcycle of the company is the highest in the segment. It has a liquid-cooled motor and a high-efficiency liquid-cooled motor controller. To achieve this, the company used high-power battery cells with advanced chemistry. The battery case is made of carbon fiber.

It has a 320 mm disc for front braking. The calipers for this were taken from Brembo. TVS Apache RTE comes with Pirelli Super Corsa tyres. Sudarshan Venu, Managing Director, TVS Motor Company, said, “TVS Racing has been at the forefront since the launch of our first factory racing team in the country. TVS has been a major contributor to the growth of racing across the country since its inception.” “It will set new standards for the electric motorcycle racing championship in the racing segment and showcase the ability of electric vehicles to deliver exciting racing experiences.”

Recently, TVS Motor’s iQube has crossed the total sales figure of one lakh units. To meet the increasing demand, the company has made preparations to increase its production. The company’s electric scooter iQube competes with Ola S1 Pro and Ather 450X. Last month the company launched the new electric scooter TVS X. Its price is around Rs 2.5 lakh.
