Champlin’s Mayor Ryan Sabas said that the state’s senator John Hoffman and state representative Melissa Hortman were shot. In this, Hoffman’s wife has also been shot. In addition, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said that former house speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband were murdered in a politically motivated firing.
