New Delhi: National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results of National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2024) after a long wait. Candidates of this examination can check their result on NTA website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
To see the result, first go to the website and click on the UGC NET 2024 Result link. After this login using your login credentials. As soon as you login, your result will be displayed on the screen, which you can download and keep safe for future.
How many candidates had registered
Different categories require minimum marks to pass the UGC NET exam. General category candidates have to score at least 40% marks to pass the exam, while candidates from other categories have to score 35% marks. There is no negative marking in this exam, and 2 marks are given for each correct answer. A total of 11,21,225 candidates had registered for the UGC NET 2024 exam this year. These included 4,85,578 men, 6,35,588 women, and 59 third gender candidates. However, out of these, only 6,84,224 candidates appeared in the examination.

A total of 4970 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in this year’s exam, while 53,694 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor. Apart from this, 1,12,070 candidates have qualified for Ph.D. NTA has issued a helpline number 011-40759000 to solve any problem related to the result. Candidates can also send their complaints through email at ugcnet@nta.ac.in.
