Under Bihar Small Entrepreneurs Scheme, 20,106 youths get first installment, know complete information: Bihar-Laghu-Udyami-Yojana-2024 -TrePreneurs-Grant-DISTRIBUTION
New Delhi. The Bihar government has taken another important step to strengthen self -employment and entrepreneurship in the state. The first installment amount was distributed to the selected beneficiaries for the financial year 2024-25 under the Bihar Small Entrepreneur Scheme run by the Department of Industries, during a special ceremony held at the Convention Building, Patna on Tuesday. One day orientation workshop was also organized during the program, which gave comprehensive information about the scheme.
Distribution program took place in the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Mishra
On this occasion, Chief Guest Industries Minister Nitish Mishra said that Bihar Small Entrepreneurship has become a strong medium of self -sufficiency for the youth and women of the state. They said,
“Our aim is to take advantage of this scheme to start their own business by taking advantage of this scheme. It will not only promote employment generation, but will also contribute significantly towards making Bihar financially strong.”
The Industries Minister appreciated all the innovations, youth and women who dared to start business on their own and moved on the path of self -sufficiency.
What is Bihar Small Entrepreneur Scheme?
Start in 2024. To encourage self -employment purpose. According to this
Permanent residents in the age group of 18 to 50 are eligible.
Those whose monthly family income is less than ₹ 6,000 or annual ₹ 72,000 can apply.
The beneficiaries have to select one of the 61 predetermined projects.
Selected applicants are given financial assistance of up to ₹ 2 lakh in three installments for the introduction of business.
More than 2.32 lakh applications in 2024-25, selection of 59,901
A total of 2,32,900 applications were received in this financial year through the entrepreneur portal, out of which 59,901 applicants were formally selected by the computerized randomization process. These include 9,901 vacant seats in the previous year.
Additionally, 11,980 applicants are placed in the waiting list, which will be selected when needed.
Training and assistance: beneficiaries are getting complete preparation
The selected beneficiaries are being given a 3 -day special training by the Upendra Maharathi Crafts Research Institute. The objective of this training is to give the beneficiaries required skills, financial management and information related to the market.
The first installment of ₹ 50,000 was distributed to the 20,106 beneficiaries who have completed training in this ceremony, the total amount was ₹ 100.53 crore. The special thing is that 7,039 women were involved in these, who are taking important steps towards self -reliance through this scheme.
Bihar will get economic support, self -employment will increase
This scheme is not only limited to personal benefits, but it is becoming a medium to speed up the economic development of the entire state. On the one hand, while the youth are getting employment opportunities by staying in their home state, on the other hand the economic participation of women is also increasing rapidly.
The government believes that such schemes will expand micro and small enterprises, which will strengthen the local economy and open new doors of employment.
