Lucknow, 6 November (IANS). Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is continuously making efforts to promote economic empowerment and self-reliance of women. In this direction, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate ‘Akanksha Haat 2024’ to be organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow on 9 November.
This program is a new initiative towards empowering the women of Uttar Pradesh, which aims to provide a platform to women entrepreneurs and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to showcase their products and skills.
Akanksha Samiti is a developing wing of the Indian Administrative Service Officers’ Wives Association (IASOWA) of Uttar Pradesh, dedicated to the welfare and empowerment of women of the state. The main objective of this committee, working in all 75 districts of the state, is to provide economic opportunities to women’s self-employment and self-help groups. Through ‘Akanksha Haat 2024’, this committee will give women an opportunity to showcase their products, skills and crafts, which will enable them to economically strengthen their families and society.
‘Akanksha Haat 2024’ is being organized with the aim of promoting local industries and encouraging women entrepreneurship. In this event, every district will be provided a dedicated stall, where women entrepreneurs from different districts will showcase their regional products and crafts.
It is the effort of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi to provide maximum economic opportunities to women to make them self-reliant, so that they can become financially independent and create a strong identity for themselves in the society.
Women entrepreneurs and self-help groups from Jammu and Kashmir have also been invited under the “Twin State Initiative” at Akanksha Haat 2024. The objective of this initiative is to promote cultural and economic exchange between women entrepreneurs of the two states. This will not only give the women entrepreneurs of Uttar Pradesh an opportunity to learn new skills and ideas, but will also help them expand their business on a larger scale.
