State Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Class Welfare and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Narendra Kashyap gave strict instructions to the officials regarding effective implementation of the schemes in the departmental review meeting held at the Assembly Secretariat on Thursday. In the meeting, the Minister gave instructions to ensure the utilization of funds allocated for departmental schemes in a time bound manner and said that delay at any level in the implementation of the schemes will not be acceptable. He stressed on ensuring that the benefits of the schemes reach the eligible beneficiaries quickly and that the schemes are disseminated from village to village.
In the meeting, he instructed the beneficiaries of computer training (Triple C/O level) to immediately transfer the funds to their bank accounts. Along with this, while reviewing the marriage grant and scholarship schemes, he ordered to quickly dispose of all the pending applications and ensure timely payment to all the beneficiaries. Emphasizing on starting the recruitment process on departmental vacant posts soon, the Minister said that the Yogi government should cooperate in its resolve to provide employment opportunities to the people by filling the vacancies as soon as possible.
Reviewing the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, the Minister said that schemes for persons with disabilities should be widely publicized and solutions to their problems should be ensured through mobile courts. Also, participation of persons with disabilities should be ensured by organizing awareness workshops. He also said that more and more tablets should be distributed to make the disabled people technically capable. Apart from this, instructions were also given to organize World Disabled Day on a grand scale and to display information about the schemes by organizing a camp of the Disabled Department in Mahakumbh Prayagraj.
