A married couple in the US severely wounded each other resulting in deaths in a violent confrontation in the home in Washington. The incident occurred when their 11-year-old son was playing a video game in the other room.

Washington: In a shocking incident, a married couple severely wounded each other resulting in deaths in a violent confrontation in the home in Washington. The incident happened when their 11-year-old son played a video game in the other room.

According to the police, the boy was wearing an earbud at the time, due to which he could not hear the confrontation between his parents in the other room, the New York Post reported. However, soon after discovering the bodies of his parents, he called the police. The incident took place on Halloween night.

Police unable to find the reason so far

So far, the investigators are unable to find the reason behind the incident and who hit the other person first. Victims have been identified as Juan Antonio Alvarado Saenz (38) and Cecilia Robles Ochoa (39), sharing further details, the police said Alvarado Saenz died due to severe stab wounds in the chest, even as Robles Ochoa had both gunshot and wounds.

During their probe, authorities found that both of them were having relationship issues and were planning to separate, the New York Post reported further. Both gun and knife were recovered from the site of the incident. The firearm was said to have been stolen from Alvarado Saenz’s employer. It was also not reported missing until the incident.

Man held for killing couple in US

Meanwhile, in another incident, a man was arrested for killing a couple at Northampton County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina on Sunday, the Independent reported. Last Thursday, the officials of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina received a call. On reaching the spot, they found the dead bodies of the 72-year-old man and his 70-year-old wife. The couple was shot dead at point blank, the police said.

While their names have not yet been released, the police have identified the suspect and claimed that the accused had stolen the truck of the couple, after the crime.
