Uttar Pradesh: Two days before the wedding, the groom talked to the bride, then went missing.
Five days before the wedding procession in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, the groom, who had gone to give a wedding card to a friend in Chhalesar, went missing. The scooter on which the groom had gone has also not been found. The mobile is switched off. The Lagan vaccine program was to be held on Wednesday. The wedding was on 22nd November. The family has expressed fear of something untoward happening to their son.
Amit Kumar, resident of Moti Mahal, Jamuna Bridge, has a shop selling shoe accessories in Asafoetida Mandi. He handles the business with father Ram Gopal. The father told that in August, his son’s relationship was fixed with a girl from Kalwari, Jagdishpura. The engagement took place on 6 October. There was a program of Lagan Tika on 20th November. The wedding procession is to take place on 22nd November.
He told that the son had left on a scooter on November 17. After giving the wedding card to friend Vikas in Chhalasar, he left from there at 3:30 pm. But, did not reach home. Searched but couldn’t find it. The mobile was being switched off.
In this case, a missing person was registered in Etmaddaila police station. When the police inquired, they came to know that on the day of the incident, Amit had talked to his in-laws and friend Vikas. Apart from this no call was made. After leaving a friend’s house, he had bought pan masala from a kiosk near the dhaba located on the highway in Chhalasar. He is seen leaving in the CCTV footage. But there is no footage of the return. Even the scooter has not been found.
The station in-charge told that the last location of the youth was Kuberpur. Last time I spoke to the bride for 11 seconds. After this the phone got switched off.
Before Amit went missing, he had talked to the bride on phone. His WhatsApp number was also active till Tuesday. The family had messaged him. There was a blue mark on it. Was online on Facebook ID till 12 noon. The father says that he has no enmity. Do business. Younger son Rahul is studying. Got married and has a daughter. Amit runs the family. Due to his disappearance, his family members are in distress and crying.
