Uttarakhand: Businessman dies in Nainital, second death in four days due to traffic jam

A second death has been recorded in four days due to traffic jam during the tourism season in Uttarakhand. This time a businessman died in an ambulance in Dhaniakot area of Nainital district. The deceased has been identified as 40 -year -old shopkeeper Jagmohan Singh Pinari, who was going to Haldwani Hospital with his family on Sunday evening after vomiting of blood.
Did not reach the hospital on time
According to the police and family, Pinari needed medical assistance, but could not reach the hospital on time due to the ambulance deterioration and long traffic jams. Giving information about the incident, Pinari’s son Divisional Pinari alleged that the ambulance had left for Haldwani at 4:30, but due to traffic jams and vehicles malfunction, the ambulance reached Haldwani at 9:30 pm. Due to this, my father could not get medical facilities on time and died before reaching the hospital.
Order to investigate after the incident
After the incident, District Magistrate Vandana Singh of Nainital district has ordered an inquiry. He said that there is a need to know why the old ambulance was sent when the new ambulance was available. The case is being investigated and strict action has been assured against the culprits.
