Uttarkashi: A cloudburst in Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand has caused severe havoc. People’s houses and hotels have been washed away in Dharali village. The seriousness of the situation can be gauged from the fact that the country’s PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are taking updates every moment and the state CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the district administration, Indian Army, NDRF and SDRF teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations.

PM Modi posted on X and said, “I express my condolences to the people affected by this tragedy in Uttarkashi. Along with this, I wish for the skill of all the victims. I have taken information about the situation by talking to Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami ji. Relief and rescue teams under the monitoring of the state government are busy in every possible effort. There is no help to help people.”

What did Home Minister Amit Shah say?

Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Talking to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand about the incident of flash flood in Dharali (Uttarkashi) in Uttarakhand, he inquired about the incident. The nearest 3 teams of ITBP have been sent there, along with 4 NDRF teams have also been sent to the spot, which will reach the rescue work soon.”

CM Dhami also revealed statement

State CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “The news of heavy losses caused by cloudburst in Dharali (Uttarkashi) area is extremely sad and painful. SDRF, NDRF, district administration and other related teams are engaged in war level for relief and rescue operations. I am constantly in touch with senior officials and the situation is being monitored in this regard. I pray to God.”

Dhami said, “Teams of district administration, Indian Army, NDRF and SDRF are engaged in relief and rescue operations in the affected areas of Dharali (Uttarkashi). People are being transported to safe places on priority basis and the situation is constantly being monitored. The administration is completely alert and all possible assistance is being provided to the affected citizens.”
