India U-19 vs England Young Lions: Indian Under-19 team defeated England Young Lions by a huge margin of 231 runs in a tour match played in Lofborough on Tuesday (June 24).
The Indian team, captained by Ayush Mhatre, batted first and scored 442 runs in the prescribed 50 overs at the loss of 9 wickets. In which Harvansh Pangalia scored a century and Rahul Kumar, Kanishka Chauhan and RS Ambarish scored a half -century with the bat.
However, captain Mhatre Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who performed brilliantly in the IPL, was a flop in this match. Mhatre contributed 1 run and Suryavanshi contributed only 17 runs to the team.
Manny Lamsden took four wickets for Young Lions and Matthew Fibrank took three wickets.
India’s total score was beyond 400, so it was not easy for the opposing team to chase. Opener and captain Wil Benisan scored a century as the top scorer for the team, but the rest of the batsmen failed to make a big contribution.
