Vantara will cooperate in SIT investigation, statement issued after Supreme Court order

New Delhi: On the appointment of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) by the Supreme Court, Vantara issued a statement saying that we are committed to transparency and full compliance of the law. We very respectfully welcome the order of the Supreme Court. Our mission and attention will be focused on animal protection, rehabilitation and care. We will provide full support to the Special Investigation Team and continue our work honestly, keeping the welfare of animals at the center of all our efforts. We request that this process be allowed to be allowed in the best interest of animals served without any speculation.

Vantara will cooperate in SIT investigation

After the SIT was formed, Vantara Zoological Rescue and Rehabilitation Center said on Tuesday that the organization would cooperate and continue to save and rehabilitate animals. Vantara said that the organization will follow the law.

The petition demanded an inquiry

In fact, in the Supreme Court, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court challenging the temple’s elephant ‘Mahadevi’ to the Radhe Krishna Temple Hathi Kalyan Trust in Vantara Sanctuary in Jamnagar. The petition demanded that Vanatara Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center was investigated in Jamnagar, Gujarat. To investigate this, the court has created a member SIT.

The next hearing of the case will be held on 15 September

Explain that on Monday, the apex court constituted a special investigation team (SIT) under the chairmanship of Justice Jasti Chelameswar to investigate the facts of illegal acquisition and misconduct of animals at the Vantara Zoological Rescue Center in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Justice Pankaj Mithil and Justice Prasanna B. Varale’s bench directed the Special Investigation Team to complete its investigation and submit the report by 12 September. The next hearing of the case has been scheduled on 15 September.

The apex court said that the four -member special investigation team would also investigate and report issues such as compliance with wildlife protection laws, international trade rules, animal welfare standards and environmental concerns.
