Uttar Pradesh News Desk: Regarding the death of the daughter, her maternal family has given a written complaint to the police accusing her in-laws of killing the daughter for dowry. Police are saying that the girl died in a road accident and the family members have not conducted the post-mortem.

Ashok Kumar Pandey, resident of Narayanpur Bhatni of Lalganj Azhara area, has filed a complaint with the police. His daughter Arpita Pandey alias Hansi was married to Shani Shukla, resident of Rumatpur Kindhauli village of Sangramgarh police station area on 20 April 2024. It is alleged that after the marriage, the in-laws were demanding Rs 5 lakh in cash and a car. When their demands were not met, they kept beating and torturing their daughter every day. On 12th, the daughter’s mother-in-law told her wife that her daughter had died. As soon as he reached home after receiving the news, he lodged a complaint with the police accusing his in-laws of murdering his daughter for dowry. SO Satyendra Bhadauria said that Arpita died in a road accident. The parents themselves were not ready to conduct the post-mortem. A complaint has been received about the matter and investigation is being done.

Prisoner accused of dowry death

Amita, 22 year old wife of Bhagwan Maurya, resident of Mangapur village of the police station area, died after consuming poisonous substance in the night. A case of dowry murder was registered against her father Santram and son-in-law Bhagwan Maurya. SI Shubhanath Sahni arrested the accused from his house and sent him to jail.

Case against young man for beating his father

Kadedin Patel, resident of Pakrihar Mangarh village of Kotwali, lodged a complaint with the police. He was sitting at his house around 6 pm on the 6th when his son Munnalal, due to a rivalry over family reasons, beat him with a stick, due to which he got seriously injured. Hearing the noise, his younger daughter-in-law Suman, grandson Amit and people nearby ran away and he ran away. It is alleged that even before this, Munnalal had beaten her several times. On the complaint of the victim Kadeedin, the police have registered a case against his son Munnalal.
