Venue fixed for T20 World Cup 2026, first match will be played on this ground
T20 Word Cup 2026: The next Bada Mains tournament of the ICC will be played as the T20 World Cup in 2026, hosting India and Sri Lanka. 20 teams will participate in this tournament and the names of all teams are not confirmed at present. But in the meantime, the ICC has made a big announcement and named all the venue, where the World Cup matches will be played. Let us tell you which of the plains will be organized.

Before proceeding, let us tell you that at present, the Women’s T20 Word Cup 2026 Venue has been declared, not the men of the T20 World Cup. Giving information, the England and Wales Cricket Board said that the first match of the Women’s T20 World Cup will be played between England and Sri Lanka on 12 June 2026 at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham, while the final will be held on July 5 at the historic Lord’s ground. As per the schedule, a total of seven prestigious venue will host this mega event, in which 33 matches will be played in 24 days.
Warm -up matches will be held on these grounds
Before the start of the tournament, Cardiff’s Sophia Gardens, Derby County Ground and Lafbaro University will host the warm-up matches. Although the entire program of warm-up matches has not been announced yet, these three grounds have played a big role in promoting women’s cricket in recent years and will now provide an important platform before the start of the 10th edition of the Women’s T20 Word Cup.
12 teams will take part
This time a total of 12 teams will participate in the Women’s T20 World Cup, out of which 8 teams have been confirmed. The remaining 4 teams will be decided through global qualifiers, which will be early next year. Two groups have been created for the tournament – Group 1, including Australia, South Africa, India, Pakistan and two qualifier teams, while Group 2 will have hosts England, defending champions New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies and other two qualifiers.
The main events will be on these grounds
The seven major plains for the main matches have been selected are Edgbaston (Birmingham), Hampashar Bowl, Hedingley, Old Trafford, The Oval, Bristol County Ground and Lords. The best teams in the world will clash on these historical grounds and every team will try to make history by winning the title like 2024 champion New Zealand.
