Vice President Election: NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan gets YSRCP’s support

Andhra Pradesh: The YSR Congress Party with 11 MPs has decided to support NDA Vice Presidential candidate CP Radhakrishnan, which has strengthened the ruling coalition. Confirming the news, YSR Congress MP Maddila Gurumurthy said that his party has decided to support NDA Vice Presidential candidate CP Radhakrishnan, while the opposition is indicating to contest the election by fielding his candidate.

According to a PTI report, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to YSR Congress chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and sought the support of the regional party for the ruling coalition candidate.

YSR Congress’s main rival TDP

Explain that YSR Congress has 4 MPs in Lok Sabha and 7 MPs in Rajya Sabha. While the YSR Congress is neither part of the BJP -led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) nor the opposition India block. The main rival of YSR Congress and the ruling party of Andhra Pradesh- TDP is a major ally of BJP.

The NDA has a sufficient majority in the electoral college, which includes members of both houses of Parliament, from which Radhakrishnan’s election is almost certain.

Jagdeep Dhankhar was also supported

Let us know that YSRCP also supported NDA for Ramnath Kovind and Draupadi Murmu during the presidential election. YSRCP also supported the ruling NDA in the Vice Presidential elections for Venkaiah Naidu and Jagdeep Dhankhar.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has the support of 293 members in the Lok Sabha and 132 in Rajya Sabha. NDA Vice Presidential candidate CP Radhakrishnan is expected to get at least 425 votes. At the same time, the support of YSRCP is expected to get more than 435 votes.
