Vice President Election: NDA seal CP Radhakrishnan, who will be the candidate of the opposition?
Vice President’s election
Delhi: The election for the Vice President of the country is going to be held on September 9 and the ruling party has announced its candidate. Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan (Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan) will be the Vice Presidential candidate for NDA. At the same time, the opposition coalition has not yet announced its candidate. Opposition leaders are going to hold a meeting with it today i.e. on Monday (August 18), if the name of the joint candidate of the Vice President is agreed in the meeting, then the name will be announced today.
Today the opposition will announce the Vice Presidential candidate?
According to sources, the leader of the opposition party ‘India’ will hold a meeting in the office of Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge in the Rajya Sabha at 10.15 am on Monday morning and will churn intensely with the Vice President’s candidate. Today’s meeting is being held a day after the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) declaring Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan as its candidate for the post of Vice President, the second highest constitutional post of CP Radhakrishnan of Maharashtra.
NDA puts the candidate in the election field
Please tell that Radhakrishnan is a resident of Tamil Nadu, where elections are going to be held in 2026. The ruling BJP (BJP) feels that the nomination of an experienced BJP leader Radhakrishnan with RSS background will give the support of the ruling DMK (DMK) in Tamil Nadu, but it will be important to see what the opposition parties decide in their meeting on Monday.
Will there be a ruckus between the ruling party and the opposition?
BJP President JP Nadda announced the nomination of Radhakrishnan after the party parliamentary board meeting on Sunday, saying that NDA (NDA) would talk to opposition parties to make consensus for Vice President Election. At the same time, the Congress-led India alliance colleagues had already announced their decision to field a joint ‘non-political’ candidates for the election.
Last month, the election for the post of Vice President has become necessary due to the sudden resignation of outgoing Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. This election is to be held on 9 September and the last date for filing nominations for the election is 21 August.
