Kharge announced the name

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge announced the name of B Sudarshan Reddy for the post of Vice President in a meeting with allies of India alliance. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge said, “B. Sudarshan Reddy is one of the most prestigious and progressive jurists in India. He has a long and prestigious legal career, including Judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court, Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court and Judge of Supreme Court.

Why B Sudarshan Reddy was chosen

After the caste census, the independent expert work group (IEWG) appointed by the Telangana Government was led by former Judge B Sudarshan Reddy of the Supreme Court. This committee submitted its 300 -page report to the state government. The group described the functioning of the socio-economic, education, employment, political and caste (SeeEEPC) survey conducted by the Congress government as scientific, authentic and reliable, and said that it will become an ideal for the country.
