Bhopal, 08 November (HS). Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will come to Ujjain on November 12 on a one-day visit to Madhya Pradesh. The Vice President will attend the Ujjain Kalidas function here and will visit the temple of Lord Mahakaleshwar and offer prayers. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain reviewed the preparations, law and order including security for the arrival of the Vice President in Ujjain late on Friday evening. He gave necessary instructions to the officials of the concerned department. Police and administrative officials were present in the meeting.

The 66th All India Kalidas Samaroh is being organized in Ujjain from 12th to 18th November, which will be inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. In this sequence, necessary arrangements related to the corporation are being made by the Municipal Corporation. Keeping in view the Kalidas celebrations and the arrival of the Vice President, the Municipal Corporation is carrying out the work of washing, painting and painting of dividers, trimming of trees and plants, lighting arrangements, screwwork of the road, maintenance and painting of walls and pots.

Before the start of the ceremony, there will be a speech on November 10 at 8 am. After this, Mangal Kalash Yatra will be taken out on 11th November at 9 am, then Nandi-Bhakti Sangeet will be organized at Kalidas Academy at 7 pm. The next day on November 12, the ceremony will be inaugurated at 4 pm and cultural programs will be presented at 7 pm. On November 13, the first session of the National Research Seminar based on Panch Mahabhuta discussion in the literature of great poet Kalidas will be organized at 10 am, a research seminar will be organized at Vikram University at 2 pm and Pandit Suryanarayan Vyas lecture series will be organized at 5 pm. After this, a dance drama based on Shastradharma style will be presented at 7 pm.

Kalidas celebrations begin from Dev Prabodhini Ekadashi

The 66th All India Kalidas Samaroh will be inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on November 12 on Dev Prabodhini Ekadashi. On this occasion, Rashtriya Kalidas Decoration will be awarded by the Department of Culture for the year 2022 and 2023 for excellent performance in classical music, classical dance, theater arts, and theatre. Two scholars will also be honored by Kalidas Sanskrit Academy at the national and regional level for writing best works. Academy Director Dr. Govind Gandhe said that on this occasion, Dr. Mithila Prasad Tripathi (Indore) and Dr. Balkrishna Sharma (Gwalior) will be honored for their best writings.

Eight artists will be honored with National Kalidas Decoration

At the beginning of the ceremony, eight artists will be given decorations in four disciplines announced by the Culture Department. The Vice President will honor these artists with Rs 5 lakh, citation, shawl, and quince. In Classical Music, Pt. Uday Bhawalkar (Pune) for Dhrupad Singing for 2022 and Pt. Arvind Parikh (Mumbai) for Sitar Playing for 2023, in Classical Dance, Dr. Sandhya Purecha (Mumbai) for Bharatanatyam for 2022 and for 2023 Guru Kalavati Devi (Manipur) will be honored for Manipuri dance. PR for 2022 in Rupankar Arts. Daroj (Delhi) will be honored for sculpture and Raghupati Bhatt (Mysore) for painting for 2023 and Bhanu Bharti (Rajasthan) for 2022 and Rudraprasad Sengupta (Kolkata) for 2023 in theatre.
