Trees fell in Tapkeshwar temple complex
Uttarakhand: A huge centuries -old tree in the famous Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple complex of the capital Dehradun fell. This tree fell in the grip of continuous rains and strong winds. The incident took place on Tuesday. It is a matter of honor that the tree did not fall on Monday, because there is a large crowd of devotees in the temple on this day, which saved a big accident.
Huge tree fell in temple premises
The tree was so huge that the surrounding area was also affected by its fall. A large part of the falling tree was hit by a nearby shop and police post located in the temple premises. A person is also said to be injured due to the grip of the tree.
Averted due to big accident
As soon as the incident was reported, the local police and fire brigade personnel immediately reached the spot. He took the fallen tree from the road while taking fast action. According to local shopkeepers, if the tree had fallen on Monday, a big accident could have happened.
Postmaster dies in bear attack
In another news, a postmaster died in a bear attack on Sama-Munsiyari Marg on Tuesday in Kapkot area of Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand. The State Disaster Provisional Force (SDRF) said that the incident took place on Tuesday morning, when the postmaster Yash Sharma (20) was going on a bicycle with a post and during this time a wild bear followed him. In panic, Yash’s bicycle became uncontrolled and he fell into the ditch. After this, the bear attacked him and killed him.
The SDRF team descended into the ditch and took the body of the postmaster to the main road with the help of stretcher and handed over to the district police for further action. The deceased Yash was a resident of Mahendragarh in Panipat district of Haryana and was currently working as a postmaster in Bageshwar district.
