Syria explosion: An explosion in Idlib province of northern Syria killed at least six people while several others were injured. Officials have given information about this on Thursday. No official statement about the cause of the explosion has come yet. The UK-based war monitoring organization ‘Syrian Observatory for Human Rights’ reported that the blast took place in a depot in ammunition.
Search for people trapped in debris continues
The Syrian Civil Protection Team ‘White Helmets’ reported that at least six people died in the blast. The explosion occurred on Thursday in the city of Marat Misrin north of Idlib. White helmets said in a statement, “This is only the death toll of those whose bodies have been recovered by the Syrian Civil Protection Team. The search for people trapped in the debris continues. ”
Rescue team reached the spot
Talking about the explosion, Syrian Emergency and Disaster Management Minister Raid Al-Caleh said, “We are monitoring the explosion in Marat Misrin city located in the northern region of Idlib.” He said that the rescue teams have reached the spot and the injured are being taken to the hospital.
‘People avoid going near the explosion site’
Minister Raid al-Caleh said, ‘We urge people in Idlib to avoid going near the blast site in view of their safety. Our teams are working with their full potential in dangerous and complex circumstances. Things are not out of control. (AP)
