Cloud burst in Uttarkashi, workers swept away
Uttarkashi: In the Barkot area of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, 17 laborers have been swept away in the flood due to late night cloudburst. According to the information, the accident happened at around one o’clock in the night when 17 laborers were working at a construction site. Suddenly, all the workers were swept away in the sharp edge of water present on the spot due to the cloudburst, which are being searched. Currently, SDRF and police team have reached the spot and the rescue operation is going on. The situation remains serious due to heavy rains and debris in the area. The search for laborers buried under the debris continues by the rescue team.
Local administration, fire brigade and medical teams are also posted on the spot, the area near the spot has been evacuated. Late night, Yamunotri area of Barkot tehsil has also caused damage due to heavy rains and excess rainfall. According to primary information, there has been a late night incident on the Yamunotri National Highway, due to which many people are stranded around.

Big loss due to cloudburst
According to the information, the water level of river drains has increased. There is a possibility of heavy losses in many places. The Yamunotri highway has been blocked at some places. Police, NDRF and SDRF teams are present on the spot. The flow of the Yamuna river has stopped due to the arrival of Malwa in the drain near Satyanchatti, threatening the hotels in the lower areas of Sainachatti.
According to the District Disaster Management Center, the team of SDRF, Police and Revenue Department has been dishonest on the spot for the said place as soon as the information about excess rainfall/cloudburst near the stitching of Tehsil Barkot. All the workers engaged in the construction work have been reported missing due to the inundation. The search operation is going on. The routes near the Yamunotri National Highway Sewing Band are also blocked at two-three places, regarding which NH Badkot has been conveyed.
