Dehradun: A major accident took place in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand on Thursday, in which a bus filled with passengers entered the Alaknanda river and 42 -year -old Vishal Soni of Rajgarh and 41 -year -old Gauri Soni, 42, was also killed in the accident. The 31 -seat bus was carrying 19 pilgrims from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, with all members of the same family, the bus collided with a high speed truck near a sharp turn on Badrinath Marg. Parth was sitting next to his mother at the time of the accident. Parth’s uncle Nilesh Soni said, “He has been in shock since the incident.” Partha went to Uttarakhand for Char Dham Yatra with his parents, while his sisters Tejaswini (17) and Manaswini (15) stayed in Rajgarh. Vishal and Gauri’s bodies were handed over to the family on Friday and it is expected to reach Rajgarh by Saturday, after which the funeral will be performed.

Parth has lost his family in an accident near Gholatir in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Four people lost their lives in this accident while eight others are still missing. District Disaster Management Officer NK Rajwar said that due to the rapid streams of the river, they are less likely to survive. The fourth body, which has been identified as Sanjay Soni (55) of Udaipur, was recovered by the personnel of the state disaster response force on Friday. The District Emergency Operations Center of Rudraprayag said that the body will be handed over to the family after the legal formalities are completed.
