While revealing a unaware of the ‘Stick to Cricket’ podcast hosted by former England players Michael Vaughan, Alastair Cook, Phil Tuffnell and David Lloyd, Shastri said that icons like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar have earned more than 100 crores annually, from advertisements.
During the conversation, Shastri revealed that India’s top cricketers earn huge outside the field due to their marketing capacity. He said, “They earn a lot. They definitely earn a lot from advertisements. You know and above a hundred crores. You calculate. Legendary players like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli or Sachin Tendulkar used to make more than 15-20 advertisements. These are one day work.
