VIDEO: ‘I will always be seen in yellow jersey’, another video of Dhoni is viral amidst retirement reports
A new video of Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is becoming quite viral in which it can be seen that he is saying that he will not leave CSK and always appear in yellow jersey. There is a period of speculation about Dhoni’s future, but Dhoni has once again made it clear that his relationship with this franchise is deeper than cricket.
The former Indian captain assured the fans that whatever his sports career, his heart will always be beating for CSK. Mahi has been with CSK since the first year of her IPL career. Dhoni has also won the IPL Trophy to CSK five times under his captaincy, which is a joint record with Mumbai Indians.
Speaking at a private event in Chennai on Saturday, Dhoni said, “There is no CSK without Dhoni. I have always said that I have a lot of time to decide, but if you are asking about a return to the yellow jersey, I will always be in yellow jersey, whether I play or not, it’s a different thing. I and CSK are together. We know that you will be with the next 15-20 years.”

In early IPL 2025, Dhoni gave up the captaincy to hand over the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad, but after being out of Gaikwad due to a elbow injury, he was handed over the captaincy in the middle of the season. However, the past IPL season was nothing short of a nightmare for CSK. CSK was able to win only four in 14 matches and stood at the bottom of the table. Which was his worst performance in IPL history.
Dhoni has not officially confirmed whether he will take the field in IPL 2026 or not, but he has supported Ruturaj Gaikwad’s return as captain. In such a situation, the eyes of the fans are on whether Dhoni will see another year on the field or not.
