In the match played on 1 September (Monday), Pollard scored a 65 -run innings in just 29 balls in which he also hit 8 skyscraper sixes and the funny thing was that 7 of his 8 sixes came on the last 9 balls. During this, he sent four consecutive balls of Afghanistan’s young spinner Waqar Salamkhil to stands directly to the stands.
Initially, Pollard’s batting looked a bit slow. By the 15th over, he was able to score only 12 runs off 12 balls. But after this he changed the gear.
