Rapido driver slapped the woman strongly

Bengaluru: In Jayanagar, the Rapido bike taxi driver suddenly attacked a female passenger, the woman’s fault was so much that she told the driver that, brother, run the bike a little right, do not drive the rough. The bus angry driver slapped the woman vigorously, causing the woman to fall on the road. The video of this incident has become increasingly viral on social media. The woman works in a jewelery shop, complaining about driving the Rapido driver carelessly after which she got into an argument. The woman used to speak only English, while the rider used to speak only Kannada.

The situation worsened after the woman allegedly refused to fare and return the helmet. After this, the driver appeared to slap him, causing him to fall to the ground. In the video, the two were seen trying to persuade the people standing initially and persuading the people standing nearby, but to no avail. No one tried to stop him even after the man slaps him.

Police sources say that she urged the woman to register an FIR, but she did not want to pursue the matter. A non-hygienic report has been filed, and investigation is underway. However, in view of the direction of the government to suspend the two -wheeler taxis by the High Court in April, the bike taxis will no longer appear on the streets of Karnataka. The state government then argued that bike taxis could not work as commercial vehicles.

Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy said, “Three months ago, the court had considered bike taxis illegal. He had given six weeks time. Again, at his request, he has given six more weeks. Now, 12 weeks have passed, and they should follow the order of the High Court.”
