Helicopter crash in Kedarnath
On 15 June 2025, a helicopter of Haley Aryan Company flew to Guptkashi at 5:21 am for the Kedarnath Dham Yatra, crashed and six people and a child died. The helicopter was seen near Valley Point at 5:24 am on Sunday morning, when the helicopter did not reach Guptkashi at 6:13, the helicopter company gave it to it. After this, immediate search and rescue operations were started. During the search, a person of Nepali origin, who went to cut grass, and the height of Gaurikund collecting grass in the height area, was seen at that place, smoke was seen at that place.
Helicopter crashes, seven people died
NDRF, SDRF teams were dispatched to the spot as soon as the incident was received. The security team reached a place called Khadak in Gauri, about 5 kilometers above Gaurikund, where search and rescue operations were carried out in which seven people were confirmed due to the crash of the helicopter and the fire. Captain Rajbir Singh Chauhan, Vikram Rawat, Vinod Devi, Trishti Singh, Rajkumar Suresh Jaiswal, Shraddha Rajkumar Jaiswal, Kashi died in the accident.

A pilot of the Aryan Company has told India TV on the condition of anonymity that there is a pressure from the heli company to save fuel, due to which Haley fly below the prescribed height and there are accidents in this way. The valley is narrow between Gaurikund to Kedarnath, due to which a lot of mist comes there suddenly, the chances of sudden clouds to Garuda Chatti and Sonprayag increase.
The pilot said that many times bad weather guidelines are also ignored. The airlines remain in the competition to fly as much as possible, because there is no fixed number for the flight, the number depends on the weather how much flight can be taken, so this type of dangerous flights are filled.
