Vijay Shah Case-Supreme Court next hearing on May 19
The Supreme Court has postponed the hearing till May 19 in the objectionable remarks on Colonel Sophia Qureshi by Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah. Shah has challenged the decision of the Madhya Pradesh High Court in which he was ordered to register an FIR.
At the same time, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi wrote on X- First a minister of Madhya Pradesh made indecent remarks on women soldiers and now her Deputy Chief Minister has grossly insulted the army. Instead of taking action against these leaders, the BJP is putting full force in saving them. What message does she want to give to our army and countrymen by doing so?
On the other hand, a delegation of Congress MLAs led by Madhya Pradesh Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar met the Governor on Friday. Submitting the memorandum demanded the dismissal of Minister Vijay Shah. After this, the Congress MLAs sat on a dharna outside the Raj Bhavan in black clothes. He was later forcibly picked up by the police and arrested him. However, he was released after a while.
PCC Chief Jeetu Patwari said in the video message- Congress will light the effigies of Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora and Minister Vijay Shah all over Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.
Outside the PCC office in Bhopal, Congress leaders burnt effigies of Minister Shah and Deputy Chief Minister Deora. Demanded the resignation of both ministers.
