New Delhi: Vinayakan was recently seen as the antagonist in Jailer starring superstar Rajinikanth. The actor plays the role of Varman in the movie, a performance that has been well-received by critics and the audience. The actor is currently soaring high on the success of the movie, which has become one of the biggest Tamil-grossing films. With all the buzz surrounding the movie, there were reports that Vinayakan was the lowest-paid actor in the project, with a remuneration fee of Rs 35 lakh. However, in a recent interview, the actor dismissed all the rumours and went on to reveal his fees.

In an interview with Manorama News, Vinayakan revealed that he was treated fairly when it came to his character and the money involved. The actor called the reports a ‘rumour’ and said that he received three times the amount he asked for.

While he did not unveil the exact amount, he held up three fingers, leading many to speculate that the figure could be a whopping Rs 3 crore. “I was treated like royalty on the sets and was compensated well.”
