Virat Kohli compared Wimbledon with which World Cup match? Know how Kohli’s performance is in those matches
Virat Kohli on Wimbildon Pressure: Former Indian captain Virat Kohli arrived at Wimbledon on Monday to watch the round of 16 match between Novak Djokovic and Alex de Minor. This was Kohli’s first public appearance after a stampede during the victory of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Bengaluru. On this occasion, he compared the pressure of cricket and tennis.
Kohli said in a conversation with Star Sports that playing at the filled cricket stadium is not as difficult as the center court. He said that when batting in cricket, the pressure is less felt due to the distance from the audience, while everything is at stake at every point in tennis.
What did Kohli say about pressure in tennis
Talking to Vijay Amritraj, Kohli said, “In cricket, the field is big and the voice of the audience does not reach the ears directly. You can live in your rhythm. But everything on the center court is close, and every point can prove to be decisive.”

Comparison of India Pakistan match
Talking about the pressure comparison against the tennis, he compared it to the India-Pakistan match. He said, “Tennis players are under heavy pressure from the quarter-finals. Their mental balance, fitness and concentration are really commendable. The same pressure in cricket is felt only in the World Cup’s India-Pakistan match, or the final-like situation.”
Expert players of big matches
Virat Kohli has performed brilliantly under pressure in his career. He has always been in form against Pakistan. He has 209 runs in the World Cup against Pakistan, 224 runs in the Champions Trophy and 312 runs in T20 International. He said goodbye to this format by becoming Player of the Match in the final of T20 World Cup 2024. In May this year, Kohli also retired from Test cricket. Now he will only play in ODI format.
