In the final of IPL 2025, Virat Kohli was seen clashing with the umpire. Kohli erupted against Rajat Patidar over a not wide call, also expressed his displeasure with a gesture. But on the next ball, such a twist came which put RCB in trouble.
The final match of the IPL 2025 being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium created a stir when Virat Kohli had a sharp debate with the umpire. The case is of the 11th over, when Kyle Jaymison was bowling and Rajat was on a strike. At the beginning of the over, Virat gave a strike to Patidar with a run. Two runs and then a long six came off the next two balls, which seemed that RCB had become a Momentum.
But the fourth ball missed out on playing the Patidar shot and the controversy started from here. The ball was a back of length and the Patidar got away from the bat. Virat felt that this ball should have been wide. He was seen pointing to the umpire from the non-strayer end that the ball was quite outside. The umpire refused to give the wide and Kohli was hot on this.

But the impact of the debate showed on the next ball. The ball inside the jamson completely dodged the RCB captain Patidar. The ball hit the pad directly and the umpire raised a finger. Patidar did not take DRS and returned out for 26 runs. This wicket brought RCB under pressure and Virat’s resentment was also clearly visible on the face.
Talking about the match, in the final of IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 190 runs, batting first and set a challenging target of 191 runs in front of Punjab Kings. Virat Kohli’s recovery innings and fast runs of the middle order were laying the foundation of a big score, but the Punjab bowlers did not allow Bengaluru to cross 200 by taking wickets on time.
Kohli scored a useful innings of 43 runs off 35 balls, while Patidar, Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma scored fast and took the team to a strong score. Jamison did the most damage to Punjab, while Arshdeep and Umarjai also gave good support.
