Indian cricket team superstar batsman Virat Kohli is undoubtedly away from the limelight at this time but his nephew Aryveer has started making headlines. Aryveer is fully prepared to carry forward Virat Kohli’s legacy. Virat’s nephew will be seen playing as leg -spinner in the upcoming season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL).

Virat’s elder brother Vikas’s son Aryveer was bought by South Delhi Superstars (SDS) for Rs 1 lakh in the DPL 2025 auction. 15 -year -old Aryveer has trained under the guidance of former Indian cricketer and current SDS coach, Sarandeep Singh. The coach revealed that this young player is a promising cricketer and has no burden of his surname.

Sarandeep, quoting News18, said, “Aryveer Kohli is an emerging star. He is quite young. There is no burden of surname on that young player. He is really a good and talented boy. He is practicing and working hard.”

Talking about Aryveer, he is not a batsman like Virat, but a leg -spinner. He has enhanced his talent at the West Delhi Cricket Academy, where this experienced cricketer has also trained with coach Raj Kumar Sharma. After joining South Delhi Superstars, he will share the dressing room with IPL star spinner Digvesh Rathi, one of DPL’s highest -grossing players (38 lakh). The team also includes players like Rathi and Priyansh Arya.

Meanwhile, 36 -year -old Virat is currently spending time with his wife and children in London and is available only for ODI matches. He was expected to return to the Indian team during the Bangladesh series, which was now postponed in August. However, according to reports, during this time, Sri Lanka can also have a small white ball series.
