By last week, Rohit was number 2 and Virat number 4 ODI batsmen, but suddenly both appeared out of the top 100. As soon as this news spread, speculation started on social media. Some fans assuming that perhaps both legends are also going to retire from ODI cricket.
However, the reality came out shortly after and the ICC said that it was just a technical fault. And made it clear that Virat and Rohit’s name had suddenly disappeared due to the website disturbances.
Shortly after, the ICC has rectified its mistake and now both the batsmen are back to their position. Rohit Sharma is again in number 2 in the ODI rankings and Virat Kohli at number 4. The ICC gave a statement, “There have been many disturbances in this week’s rankings, which we are investigating.”
