Vivej Ranjan Agnihotri will launch the trailer of the Bengal files in Kolkata amidst controversies
Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is currently promoting his most awaited film ‘The Bengal Files’ in the US. For this, they are organizing many world premiers in different cities. Without any controversy or sensational statement, he has started promotion in a very strict and respectable manner.
Nevertheless, without any provocation, some members of Mamata Banerjee’s TMC party lodged several FIRs against director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, producer Abhishek Aggarwal and actress-producer Pallavi Joshi. It was alleged that the film showed controversial content.
In response, the film makers moved the court and the High Court gave relief to all the FIRs at the moment. But even after this court order, a new FIR is being lodged. Now Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has released a video on social media.
In this video, he accused the ruling party that he was trying to stop the film and save the truth from coming out. She described The Bengal files as the most important film in the country, which brings out a very deep and hidden truth in Indian history.
While sharing the video, Vivek wrote, “Essential and important: West Bengal government has registered several FIRs against me for making #Thebengalfiles. The Honorable High Court has stayed these. Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri asked why the government is pressing the voice of the people and hiding the old and today’s truth. He said, “Are they against the film, against his maker or against the truth?” He told all the people, especially the youth to see The Bengal files and know the real things.
He stressed that this film has many years of hard work and research and he reiterated his trust in the judicial system. He also challenged the party and announced that now the trailer of the film will be launched in Kolkata, in the same city where these FIRs are being lodged.
The Bengal files are written by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and produced by Abhishek Aggarwal and Pallavi Joshi. Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher and Darshan Kumar are playing important roles in the film. The film will be released in theaters on 5 September 2025.
